The Windsor-Essex Parkway project is part of the proposed plan to connect Highway 401 in Ontario to Interstate 75 in Michigan, by way of a new Canadian inspection plaza and bridge crossing being constructed by the Federal Government in West Windsor. The Windsor-Essex Parkway will be publicly owned and controlled. It will not be a tolled road.
In September of 2008, ACCIONA was contracted by Quebec’s Ministry of Transport to design, finance, build, operate and maintain the new Autoroute 30 (A30 Express) toll road along Montreal’s south shore. The completed A30 was opened to traffic on December 2012.
The Southeast Stoney Trail Highway project comprises of approximately 25 kilometres of a new, six lane divided freeway between 17 Avenue SE (Highway 1A) and the east side of the existing Macleod Trail interchange within the Department owned Transportation/Utility Corridor in the City of Calgary. The design life will be 75 years for structures. All designs will meet national and provincial design codes and technical standards.
The City of Edmonton wishes to undertake the replacement of the existing two lane Walterdale Bridge with a new three lane bridge. The new Walterdale is an innovate bridge with pedestrian facilities including a multi-use trail on the east side and a sidewalk on the west side.

Acciona Infrastructure Inc (AIC) was the Prime Contractor and was responsible for the general management of the construction.The design was already provided by Alberta Transportation, although there were many specific items that needed to be designed more in depth (bearings, expansion joints, MSE walls, steel diaphragms, etc).
